Ben Childers, MD is a plastic surgeon at our skin care center in Riverside, CA who offers both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures, in addition to the sub-specialties of hand and microsurgery. As a physician who received his surgical training in some of the most prestigious medical institutions in the country, he has brought a wealth of experience to the area – and has significantly elevated the bar for plastic surgeons throughout the Inland Empire.

As for the institutions that contributed to Dr. Childers’ surgical instruction, he began with a rigorous program at the world-renowned Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with further training obtained locally at Loma Linda University. Later, Dr. Childers returned to Harvard for an intensive fellowship in hand and microsurgery, which he now counts among his sub-specialties.

Upon completion of this surgical training, Dr. Childers was a valuable member of the surgical staff at the University of California in San Diego. He then returned to Loma Linda University, where he was fortunate to practice as an Associate Professor of Surgery for six years.

Just a normal California girl who loves makeup, potions, and lotions. I loved them so much I decided to do it for a living.I guess you can say I’m a skin nerd that takes great pleasure in making people look and feel their best. The medical aspect of the cosmetic field seemed a perfect fit because I am a problem solver by nature. Acne and Pigment problems are my specialties. Nothing makes me happier than to hear my patients say that they are so happy with their outcome. I can’t imagine doing anything else for a living, Truly!”

Amber-Roslin-168x246Amber Rosin, RN

I started working in aesthetics field in 2005 and have continued my passion in the growing field of aesthetic medicine. For the past 5 years I’ve also studied Anti-Aging, Health and Wellness. I provide aesthetic consultations and treatment aesthetic non-surgical injectables such as Botox and dermal fillers like Juvederm and Restylane.

I earned my Nursing degree in 1998 through Chaffey College. I also hold certifications in Luminesse and Cutera lasers for hair removal, skin tightening, photo facials, acne treatments and skin resurfacing and Thermage for the treatment of face, eyes and body skin tightening. I continually receive advanced training for facial rejuvenation/volume replacement “liquid face lifts”.

I have extensively studied collagen induction therapies and endorse the Carboxy Therapy and Dermaroller as two of the best treatments available for collagenesis (stimulating collagen). I am only one of 8 people certified in Carboxy therapy in CA. Carboxy is fantastic for reducing the appearance and texture of scars (surgical, injury, keloid, acne). Carboxy can also be used for fat dissolve and cellulite treatments. I often combine mesotherapy with it for even quicker results.

I am a member of CA Nurses Association and Executive Women’s International.

Elizabeth-sizedElizabeth Perez, RN

Elizabeth had wanted to become a nurse since she was a child, never wavering from that career goal. She received her Registered Nurse Licensure in 1988, and began her nursing career at Riverside Community Hospital. Later that year she began working in the Emergency Department, where she spent 12 years in Riverside Community Hospital’s Level II Trauma Center. When her twins became school aged, Elizabeth decided it was time to leave the Emergency Department in order to be able to spend more time with them.

In 2000, Elizabeth met and was hired by Dr. Ben Childers, and began working in Outpatient Plastic Surgery for Loma Linda University. Initially she worked as a circulating, scrub, and recovery room nurse, getting to work with and learn from Loma Linda’s top Plastic Surgeons which included Dr. Childers. A few years into her career in Plastic Surgery, Elizabeth began training in the use of fillers, spider vein injections, lasers, and Botox injections. She found this area of Plastic Surgery exciting and trained with many of the Plastic Surgeons at Loma Linda learning different techniques in order to gain the best results. She continues to expand her knowledge by taking classes and seminars on new techniques and treatments available, which has included training in Thermage. Elizabeth began working exclusively with Dr. Childers in 2007. She enjoys working with Dr. Childers and finds that collaboration with him as well as his well trained Licensed Aestheticians can help you get the results you are looking for.
